The International Action Center (IAC) is an activist group founded in 1992 by former United States Attorney General Ramsey Clark. It supports anti-imperialist movements around the world, and opposes U.S. military intervention in all circumstances.
Your organization has played a great role in promoting peace of the World as well as social justice in American societies such as Korean-American community and other ethnic minority communities since the year 1992. Especially, IAC has supported the Korea Truth Commission for a long time.
Therefore, we recognize International Action Center as a recipient of 2014 Award of Peace and Social Justice.

Brief History of Minjok-Tongshin
Today marks the 15th anniversary of Minjok-Tongshin(민족통신), but the organization can trace its roots further back to the One Korea Study Council(한민족연구회), making it a solid 27 years old.
The One Korea Study Council was established on Nov.11, 1987 with 33 board members, including 9 standing committee’s members such as Ken Kilnam Roh, Seyoung Sohn, and Chungho Lee.
Minjok-Tongshin, as a daily newsmedia website was established in 1999 and it now has over a hundred supporters donating to the organization (35 in New York and eastern states, 25 in central and southern states, 45 in western states, United States plus small number of overseas Koreans and South Koreans).
The Editorial Principles of Minjok-Tongshin are (1) National Sovereignty and Independence, (2) Peaceful Reunification of Korea, (3) Solidarity with all peace-loving people, (4) Justice for the Korean Peninsula and the Global Community.
Dr. Ken Kilnam Roh who is President and Editor has visited Seoul and Pyongyang over 60 times in the last 24 years and has reported many feature stories in connection with DPR Korea and its people. He met ex-President Kim Il Sung and current leader Kim Jong Un.
He initially organized and operated One Korea Study Council for 12 years and also organized and played an active role in improving Minjok-Tongshin for 15 years. He is not only an excellent journalist but also an active leader in the Peaceful Reunification Movement.
